A PPS-based thermoplastic composite is now being used as a lightweight replacement for aluminum in aircraft seating.The seats are pressure formed of Tepex composite sheet made by Bond-Laminates GmbH in Brilon,Germany,from up to 20 layers of woven fabric consolidated in a dual-belt press.
