DME Co., Madison Heights, Mich., has introduced new mold components and upgraded its web service. 1.Moldmakers can save time and labor costs with new pre-machined insulator sheets designed for standard mold bases. They come with the highest level of pre-machined features in the marketplace, DME says, with mounting holes and clearance holes for the locating ring and assembly screws. The asbestos-free sheets are suitable for service temperatures up to 550 F. They come in 0.25-and 0.5-in. standard thicknesses and are now machined 1/16-in. shorter on all sides to prevent damage during mold handling.
