China mined 227 million mt of crude coal in November 2008, up 5.2% year-on-year, according to a release by China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on January 5. In the first 11 months of 2008, China mined a total of 2.39 billion mt of crude coal, up 13.4% year-on-year.
