China issues first batch of coke export quotas for 2010 to foreign JVs

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued the first batch of coke export quotas for 2010 - totaling 499,087 mt to 10 foreign funded coking joint ventures, according to a release by MOC on February 26. Of the quotas, Shanxi Sanjia Coal and Chemicals Co. has got the lion's share of 147,961 mt, followed by Shanxi Jiexiu Antai Coking Co. (85,207 mt), Shanxi Loudong Jun'an Coal Gasification Co. (83,861 mt), Shanxi Hong'an Coking Co. (47,542 mt), Shanxi Jinchang Coal Gasification Co. (46,026 mt), Shanxi Senrun Foundry Coke Co. (43,609 mt), Shanxi Jiexiu Sansheng Coking Co. (19,647 mt), Shanxi Huidongda Coking Co. (16,500 mt), Yunnan Qujing Dawei Coking Co. (4,972 mt), and Shanxi Haizi Coking Co. (3,762 mt).
