EDC: Spot prices were pegged in the low $400s FOB NWE Thursday, with traders reporting deals done at such levels amid a slight recovery in buy interest. Prices were expected to increase further over the month with traders offering as high as $450/mt FOB. “I have had enquires this week and the minimum offer I have made has been in the mid $400s FOB. And although the response to that from customers has been “ouch, that’s a bit high”, there is not a lot of material out there,” a trader said. Meanwhile, prices in Asia rebounded this week, jumping up $75/mt to $490-500/mt CFR amid tight supply/demand conditions.
