US pricing was talked as high as the low 70’s cents/lb this week as production problems continued to plague the region. Sources were using net backs from Asia as a discussion point since no North American suppliers were offering any spot cargoes. With two manufacturers on allocation, the remaining suppliers considered covering customers’ needs a priority over export opportunities, sources said.
