Asian linear low density polyethylene was assessed $10-25/mt higher in the Far East and Southeast Asian regions, but lower in South Asia. Offers were raised to $1,480-1,500/mt CFR FEA/SEA levels by producers pressured by high ethylene costs at $1,351/mt CFR NEA. Deals concluded at those levels were few and far between, with traders selling material at $1,430-1,440/mt CFR levels easily. In China, sentiment in the domestic market has cooled in the run-up to the Lunar New Year holidays and amid fresh monetary tightening measures announced Tuesday.
