Some spot buying interest emerged from China for prompt late September arrival cargoes for the building of butadiene inventories prior to the early October National Day holiday. Bid levels were, however, still in the range of $1,650-1,660/mt CFR China, which kept the CFR China price benchmark flat at $1,681/mt Friday. Market sources said Chinese end-users were still unwilling to pay more than $1,660/mt CFR China as the domestic market was hovering at around Yuan 13,500/mt ex- tank, or around $1,670/mt on an import parity basis.
