European spot LLDPE C4 prices were yet to see a further recovery, sources said Wednesday, still confirming a range between Eur1,160-1,165/mt ($1,488/mt) FD NWE this week. The spot market was poised to strengthen once all of the lower end offers for imported products got absorbed, sources said, still noting marginal tonnes from Brazil, the US, the Middle East and Asia present, but having a progressively smaller presence on the mainstream market. “There are still offers to bring C4 to Europe from Asia, the Middle East and the US, but there is less volume [on offer] and prices are not interesting,” a trader said. “There is no longer inventory build up at [European] producers, they appear to have less stock now so prices will start moving up by Eur10-20/mt,” he added.
