US styrene monomer prices eroded 2.60 cents on the week as benzene dipped. At the start of the week, styrene was stuck between 50 and 51 cents/lb, both FOB USG respectively. Sources though were not confident that sellers would be able to maintain a price above 50 cents/lb. Meanwhile, deals were reportedly done at 49.50 and 49.75 cents/lb this week, but timing, counter-party and volume details were not confirmed. Another source said a deal around 48.50 cents/lb was done, but again no other pieces of information were available.
