EDC: The Asian ethylene dichloride market gained $20/mt week on week Thursday to be assessed at $322/mt CFR Far East Asia, and rose $22/mt over the same period to $324/mt CFR Southeast Asia. The increase was supported by firmer feedstock ethylene prices, and buyers returning to the market amid firm downstream markets such as PVC and vinyl chloride monomer. The CFR Northeast Asia ethylene price was assessed at $1351/mt Thursday, up $20/mt from the previous week.
