US styrene prices fell .70 cents/lb over the week as exportdemand weakened. On Monday, spot prices were assessed at55.70 cents/lb FOB USG in a backwardated market, supportedby a 10 cents/gal decrease in feedstock benzene to 307cents/gal. “Nothing is going on yet,” a source said regardingspot styrene on Monday. Domestic demand was lackluster,the source added, but demand in the export market was goodif you could ship to Europe quickly. No deals were heard doneMonday by close of the assessment window.
