Spot butadiene continued its upward climb, as it was assessed 6 cents higher to 65-66 cents/lb CIF USG. At this level, even Asia began to take notice of the bullish US market on a lack of inventory. Supply, not demand, was the cause of the tightness, sources said, with two of the four North American manufacturers on sales control.
