Butadiene contract prices for the Brazilian domestic market should jump at least 5 cents/lb ($110/mt) for April, a source at the producer Braskem said. Monomer contract prices in Brazil follow the USGC price movements with a few days lag. In the US, ExxonMobil, for example, dropped its April nomination 3 cents/lb, but it's still 7 cents/lb higher than March. No settled pricing was confirmed by the time of publication. In the beginning of March, the Brazilian butadiene contract price was heard around $3,330/mt FOB, a price increase of 25 cents/lb ($551/mt).
