In the Peruvian linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) market, the CFR price rose $20/mt week on week Wednesday. In a contango market structure, the LLDPE price was assessed at $1,550-1,560/mt CFR. The rise in prices was attributed by sources to limited supply from US producers and higher offers from Asia and the Middle East, sources said. Selling intentions for October from South Korean producer Hanwha and from Middle East-based manufacturer SABIC were talked around $1,560/mt CFR for LLDPE film. A US trader was heard offering limited material at $1,560/mt CFR for the same grade as well, sources said.
