The LLDPE market continued to fall this week, with pricessliding $12/mt week on week to be assessed at $1,278-1,280/mt CFR Far East Asia and $1,292-1,294/mt CFRSoutheast Asia. Buyers holding off from restocking pushedprices down as they instead interpreted a falling ethylenemarket as an indication that LLDPE next month would becheaper again. Some sellers said they expected LLDPE pricesto bottom out soon as traders returned to the market,expecting converters to follow. Traders confirmed that theywere buying more material, but for re-exporting, with LatinAmerica noted to be particularly strong for re-exports.
