Spot deals have gradually increased from 68 cents/lb in mid-July as US fundamentals favored sellers. “We’ll have to wait until the end of the month to see how much producers will need to sell,” another trader said regarding the lack of current availability. To bolster their chances of the 5 cents/lb price hike going in in August, producers have also issued a 6 cents/lb price hike for September.
