Asian low density polyethylene market activity was thin this week, with several markets closed or preparing to enter local holidays. LDPE was assessed at $1,412/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, down $3/mt week on week, and remained unchanged in Southeast Asia over the same period at $1,450/mt CFR. China was closed for a public holiday Monday to Wednesday, leaving few active market participants in the Far East Asian market. Late last week, bonded warehouse cargoes were heard offered at $1,400/mt, but received little interest.
