The$18.5 billion Pearl GTL project is a joint venture betweenAnglo-Dutch Shell and state-owned Qatar Petroleum and willproduce up to 260,000 b/d of oil equivalent of hydrocarbonproducts, including 140,000 b/d of high-quality liquidpetroleum fuels and lubricants, when its second unit ramps upto full capacity in mid-2012, Shell CEO Peter Voser toldreporters Tuesday at the plant site, about 80 km north of Doha.
