With Asia still dropping offer price levels to Latin Americaand Latin producers trying to be competitive with the downward movement, the Platts assessments went downthis week. Brazilian June polyethylene offers to Andeanregion decreased $30-80/mt, said a Braskem source. LLDPEoffers to Andean region went down $80/mt and were heardfor June at $1,590/mt CFR for butene and at $1,620/mt CFRfor hexene. Asian offers were still $10/mt less at $1,580/mtCFR for butene, but the Brazilian producer believes thecustomers were going to accept the price because of theshorter delivery.
