US offers to Brazil fell $30/mt this week, despite reportedstable supply. The spot price was assessed at either side of$1,070/mt CFR Brazil. One trader reported that a large USproducer was offering July at $1,080/mt CFR Santos.However, some traders in the US and in Brazil reported thisweek that Braskem reduced its PVC price about 15% inBrazil in order to compete against oversea material, thoughconfirmation from the company was not immediatelyavailable. Freight costs from the US Gulf to Brazil were heardthis week at $70-80/mt, while a trader said that freight coststo the West Coast of South America were increased recentlyto $100/mt. Meanwhile, in Peru, US offers remainedunchanged amid slow trading activity.
