US propylene saw prices fall considerably in both the spotand contract markets this week as poor demand fromdownstream markets and oversupply caught up with themarket. Leading the way was spot polymer-gradepropylene, which transacted at 56 cents/lb Friday forOctober, levels not seen since mid-November 2010.Assessed at 55.75-56.75 cents/lb Friday, PGP shed awhopping 14 cents/lb since September 30. Spot chemicalgrade also shed 14 cents/lb, assessed Friday on either sideof 53 cents/lb on light trading. CGP was last heard tradedat 58 cents/lb Tuesday.
