The last of the US butadiene contract price nominationswere heard from main producers, resulting in a likely splitsettlement for July. “We’ll probably see a split,” a sourcesaid. Two producers were heard nominating up to 170cents/lb, while another two were heard nominating up fromJune to 175 cents/lb. “I don’t think it is high,” the sourcesaid regarding the higher proposed contract prices. “Theyget up close to the spot market.” In the spot market, a dealwas heard done Thursday at 227 cents/lb CFR USG, thoughconfirmation was not readily available. Buying interest hadpreviously been heard in the 220-230 cents/lb range.
