The July PX contract price was settled Wednesday atEur1,025/mt ($1,469/mt) FD NWE, a decline of Eur85/mtfrom June. PX costs to PTA producers purchasing undercontract in July will be some Eur57/mt lower than June.South Korean exporters received a boost this week as a freetrade agreement between the European Union and SouthKorea came into force. Including a freight cost of $90/mtand a 4.875% import tariff, South Korean PTA June cargoescould arrive in Northwest Europe at around $1,253/mt(Eur873/mt). A Japanese trader reported queries from Italy,Spain and Portugal.
