Inventories did not create pressure forproducers and they enjoyed a domestic market withcontracts over 90 cents/lb. In order to export, they wouldhave to be under 80 cents/lb when considering offers fromAsia and regional Latin American producer prices. Offersinto South America, the highest priced export market, werein a range from $1,760-1,800/mt CFR, which meant USoffers could not be much over $1,720/mt FAS Houston to becompetitive.
