Asian linear low density polyethylene prices were assessed $14-50/mt lower week on week Wednesday at $1,320/mt CFR Far East Asia, $1,335/mt CFR Southeast Asia $1,360/mt CFR South Asia. Falls in LLDPE prices outpaced those of feedstock ethylene, which slumped $15/mt week on week to $1,156/mt CFR NEA and slid $10/mt over the same period to $1,161/mt CFR SEA. In China, sellers offered September delivered product at $1,320-1,370/mt CFR, with trades concluded in the $1,320-1,330/mt range with fair ease, traders said. In Southeast Asia, offers were placed at $1,330-1,360/mt CFR, but the market was quieter. Meanwhile, Indian importers reported receiving offers at $1,350-1,370/mt CFR, with deals done in the same range and demand healthy ahead of the Diwali holidays. "Demand is going to be good for another one to 1 1/2 months," a trader said.
