US ACN export prices continued to fall this week as marketprices followed Europe and Asia lower. “Arbs are closed inAsia,” said one market source regarding the export market.“Demand is not there.” Meanwhile, the feedstock propylenecontract price remained unsettled, as market sources wereestimating a 3- to 5-cent decrease and some producers wereleaning towards a 4-cent decrease. Downstream,acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene demand was weak, accordingto a source, citing a slow down in orders. As acrylonitrile isoften done on a contract basis, another source mentioned,not many spot deals were heard so early in the month.
