ConocoPhillips posts 3Q profit record despite drop in US refinery utilization

ConocoPhillips beat Wall Street estimates with record third-quarter profit of US3.8-bil or US2.68/share,despite US refinery utilization at only 93% due to bad weather.Non-Lukoil upstream production was up 2.7% from a year ago to 1.52-mil boe/d.But CEO Jim Mulva conceded even with 266,000 boe/d from rising ownership of Russian major Lukoil to nearly 15%,ConocoPhillips upstream production this year will be no better than flat with last year's 1.8-mil boe/d.
