Shell said aug 13 it will keep its 70,000 b/d Bakersfield,california,refinery open six months post its planned oct 1 closure date until mar 31,2005.bakersfield produces 2% of the gasoline and 6% of the diesel for california,a state with some of the highest fuel prices in the us.
