Sunoco may have a hard time convincing regulators it will not have excessive control over the US Northeast market if it buys El Paso's Eagle Point refinery. Sunoco announced Apr 30 a letter of intent ot buy the 150,000 b/d plant in Wwstville, New Jersey, for US130-mil in cash, plus the value of oil inventories.
