OPEC cuts may ease in 2003

OEPC and non-OPEC producers currently restraining their crude output may be in a position to relax supply curbs by 2003, OPEC secretary-general Ali Rodriguez said Friday. "Cooperation is necessary to maintian stability in the mrket until well into 2003, by which time sufficient demand may have developed to allow both OPEC and non-OPEC producers to relax productions," Rodriguez said in a statement published by the OPEC News Agency.
