Southeast pipe inflows climb to record high as demand rises; Northeast production up

Net pipeline flows to the Southeast are at a record high in October as elevated regional prices are attracting increasing volumes of gas from the Northeast and the Midcontinent market areas, an analysis of data from Platts Analytics Bentek Energy shows. Month to date, inflows to the Southeast have averaged 7.6 Bcf/d and are up over 10% from Septembers average at 6.9 Bcf/d. Over the same period in 2015, gas flows to the Southeast averaged just 5.1 Bcf/d. Inflows to the Southeast reached a single-day record high at 8.2 Bcf on October 10.
