A flatter forward curve, lackluster demand, diminished volatility and constrained financial markets have conspired to stymie investment and contracting for gas storage facilities, analysts said recently. "Despite continuing strong demand for long-term stor- age leases, potential lessees have been simply seeking fewer-turn, lower-margin services," Tuohy Brothers Investment Research analyst Craig Shere wrote in a late-September research note.
