The evaluation was conducted at the Rodney R. Foil Plant Science Research Center in Starkville, MS on a seashore paspalum putting green, established in 2008 on a United States Golf Association specification 90:10 sand:peat mix with a pH of 7.0. Plotswere mowed daily at 0.125-in. and vertical mowed with light topdressing weekly. Core aerification plus topdressing was conducted on 18 Jun. Fertilizer was applied at a monthly rate of 1 lb N/1000 ft2 from May through September. Treatment plots measured 4ft x 6 ft with a 2-ft alley between blocks. The study was arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. All treatments were initiated on 20 Sep with three subsequent applications on 14 day intervals, ending 2 Nov. Fungicide treatments were applied in water equivalent to 2.0 gal/1000 ft2 at 40 psi using a CO2-pressurized boom sprayer with two XR Teejet 8004-VS nozzles. Disease severity was assessed weekly by visual estimation of percent symptomatic area per plot. Turfgrass quality was also evaluated using scale of 1 to 9 (9=best, 6=acceptable) based on color, density, and uniformity. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and means separation using Fisher's protected least significant difference test at P = 0.05.
