ARDAGH INTRODUCES CRADLE TO CRADLE FOR METAL PACKAGING PRODUCTS

Ardagh Group is the first company in the packaging industry to be awarded the Cradle to Cradle certification for its metal packaging products for paint, confirming herewith the important role of consumer packaging. Worldwide this certification procedure is considered one of the toughest environmental qualifications. The Cradle to Cradle certification was managed through the leading environmental assessment agency EPEA. For this purpose, during a period of nine months, data of all constituents of the two productswerecollected.Afteranindependentanalysisatthedeepest chemical level (up to 100ppm), a comprehensive assessment was carried out regarding the material input, material reutilization, energy and water consumption, and social responsibility.
