The spatial and temporal structure of signals and disturbances inside a ship fairing (in particular, on the surfaces of vertical cylindrical antenna and cofferdam) has been investigated. It is established that the disturbance from the engine-propeller system forms a complex interference structure in the fairing, with a peak located between the antenna and cofferdam. It is shown that efficient absorption of disturbances by the cofferdam, for example, using active damping tools, eliminates the reverberation field from the fairing and reduces the disturbance on the surface of hydroacoustic antenna.
