TWO ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS POLYMER PROGRAM AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT

Applications are invited for two tenure-track, full-time faculty appointments at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants are sought in the areas of polymer processing and polymer composites, with relevance to manufacturing preferred. Research focus may include but is not limited to: surfaces and interfaces; sustainable resins, fibers and processes; bioprocessing and biocompatible soft materials; rheology; characterization; kinetics and catalysis; high temperature polymers; advanced nanocomposites and functional architectures; and modeling and simulation. The selected candidates will have an academic appointment in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department (CBE), and be members of the Polymer Program with offices and research labs in the Institute of Materials Science (IMS). The candidates will have coordinated teaching responsibilities in both the Polymer and Chemical Engineering core programs.
