Singapore's Keppel Corp, the world's largest oil and gas rig maker, said its Kazakh unit Keppel Kazakhstan and Ersai Caspian Contractor won an order worth US$242 million to supply a jackup rig to a unit of KazMunayGas. The KFELS B jackup rig is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2015 and will be deployed in the Caspian Sea. The rig is able to operate in water depths of up to 262 feet, upgradeable to 400 feet and can drill to depths of up to 20,000 feet, Keppel Corp said in a statement on its website.
