摘要

The solution of the steady state response of heat exchanger networks to changes to inlet temperatures and flow rates traditionally involves the simultaneous solution of a set of equations. The problem can be approached differently. Response equations have been derived that facilitate the calculation of disturbances as they propogate through the network. The approach is general and can be applied to any HEN however complex. Response equations are presented for temperature and flow rate disturbances and fouling. [References: 2]
