Borealis Invests US43 million to Increase Nordic Olefins Capacity

Borealis(Copenhagen,Denmark;www.borealisgroup.com)will invest US43 million in expanding its olefins unit in Porvoo,Finland,for completion during a planned turnaround in 2007.With this investment,its ethylene capacity will increase from 330,000 metric ton(m.t.)/yr to 380,000 m.t./yr and propylene capacity from 200,000 m.t./yr to 223,000 m.t./yr.
