:Objective To investigate the effect of acupoint massage combined with acupoint application on quality of life in patients with primary lung cancer during chemotherapy. Methods Totally 80 patients with chemotherapy for primary lung cancer were assigned to the observation group and the control group, with 40 cases in each group. During the chemotherapy, patients of both two groups received routine care, and those in the observation group received combined therapy of acupoint massage and acupoint application. The Karnofsky performance score(KPS)was used to evaluate the quality of life of patients before and after treatment. Results 〓The KPS was(73.30±7.00)in the control group and(80.00±7.30)in the observation group after nursing interventions, which indicated that patients in the observation group achieved a better improvement of KPS(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The combined therapy of acupoint massage and acupoint application is potentially effective to improve the quality of life in patients with primary lung cancer during chemotherapy.
