MBS~(~R) - die Plattform fuer Bremssteuerungs - systeme fuer Europa

The Modular Brake Control System MBS~(~R) designed by Knorr-Bremse Systems for Rail Vehicles is a standardised platform which can be applied with little adaptation to the requirements of the European train operators. Brake Controls are specially developed according to the costumer's requirements, causing great expenses in project planning and development both for the brakes manufacturer and the vehicle builder. As a modular adaptable system, MBS~(~R) can be used for the cross border traffic and adapted to the different European safety requirements easily. Besides the reduction of weight and space the availability of the vehicle can be increased. The vehicle manufactures Bombardier Transportation und Siemens Transportation and the operators Deutsche Bahn AG, Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB and Oesterreich-ischen Bundesbahnen OEBB are already profiting from advantages of MBS~(~R).
