Fenološke razlike između lokaliteta su uslovljene klimatskim faktorima.%Studies were conducted on some major biological-economic characteristics fo five blackberry cultivars in two localities. The following cultivars were evaluated in experimental plantings: Scottish selection 74126-RA8, Black Satin, Dirksen Thornless, Smoothstem and the standard cultivar Thornfree, which is the predominant cultivar grown in commercial plantings. One of the trials was set up in the locality "Cacak" and the other in the locality "Zdravijak", both belonging to the Fruit and Grape Research Centre in Cacak. Observations were made on the phenology of flowering and fruit ripening, fruit mass and dimensions, soluble solids and cropping in the 1987-1992. period. The cultivar Black Satin had earlier flowering and ripening, the largest fruit size (6.93 g and 6.17 g in the localities "Cacak" and "Zdravljak", respectively) and the highest yield (19,015 kg/ha) in both localities, as compared to the other cultivars studied. The highest soluble solids content was recorded in the cultivar Smoothstem. Phenological differences between the localities were caused by climatic factors.
