H2ID inaugurates Hadera desalination plant

H2ID, the joint venture of Israel's IDE Technologies and Housing and Construction Group Ltd., inaugurated the Hadera seawater desalination plant, the largest reverse osmosis plant in the world, on May 16,2010. The US$ 430-million plant will produce 127 million m~3 of high quality water per year at US$ 0.57 per m~3 under a build, operate, and transfer, 25-year agreement with the Israeli government.
