Odor control for Palm Jumeirah facility

BioAir Solutions will supply its Total Odor Control technology program to two existing waste-water-pumping stations adjacent to the Atlantis Resort, a luxury hotel with a 42-acre water park on Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The manmade Palm Jumeirah Island was completed in 2009 and consists of luxury villas, malls, and upscale resort hotels constructed on 94 million cubic meters of reclaimed sand and 5.5 million cubic meters of rock. When fully developed, Palm Jumeirah will be home to more than 120,000 residents and tourists. BioAir Solutions will apply its two-phased approach to completely eliminate odors from the wastewater pumping stations. BioAir Solutions President Louis le Roux explained, "It is extremely important to provide a solution that is fail safe, since bad odors directly affect the experience of tourists visiting the resort. The first step of the Total Odor Control program is to conduct an odor control study to clearly identify and quantify the source and type of air emissions at the existing pumping stations. By identifying the emissions and measuring airflows, we can design and develop a cost-effective, biological solution for efficiently eliminating the odors.
