What waste comes in small quantities, can be haz-ardous to human health and the environment and is exempt from the majority of EPA rules? Household hazardous waste (HHW), of course. For years, Americans have been tossing old paint cans and pesticides in with their non-hazardous wastes. In fact, only a few years ago, the ma-jority of HHW was collected at spe-cial collection events held in eco-conscious communities.
