Crossrail ready for March construction start

Crossrail has announced that tunnelling on Europe's largest construction project - the proposed east-west rail scheme across London - will start in March. Eight Herren-knecht tunnel boring machines (TBMs) are due to begin excavating a total tunnel length of 21 km below central London.
