Robots to the rescue

In 2010 FER-PAL worked on a shared contract for installing structural cured-in-place pipe into a 1 -mile (1.61 km) trunk of water-main pipe in three non-adjacent locations in the Minnesotan cities of Fridley, Golden Valley and Hutchinson as part of a Joint Powers Agreement. The lined pipe size for each city was 12in (304.8mm). The Hutchinson work was the largest with 2,440 linear feet of pipe and a cost of US$613,799. Fridley demanded 2,100 linear feet and Golden Valley 960 linear feet.
