Godioli & Bellanti (G&B) is so well known as a supplier of tobacco presses that the chances are you already know about this side of its business. But what is not well known is that such fame can be a commercial disadvantage as well as an advantage. It was an advantage because some people referred to a tobacco press as a Godioli, said Mr Lorenzo Curina, the company's managing director and commercial manager. But it could be a disadvantage because some customers tended to think that G&B manufactured only presses.
