1. In full year 2018, global shipyard output reached 1,267 vessels of 79.7m dwt and 30.2m CGT, with 301 yards reportedly delivering a ship (1,000+ GT). Due in part to subdued ordering in recent years, this represents a 19% and a 10% year-on-year decline in dwt and CGT terms respectively. Currently, shipyard output is forecast to remain steady in dwl terms in full year 2019, reaching 80.7m dwt, while output is forecast to fall in CGT terms to 27.1m CGT.
